s/y CRIB Registered in Guernsey My R41C, bought 1979 from out side of the Woolston offices of Rival Yachts, built I think 1978 at Robert Ives in New Milton. The hull was empty when purchased with only the engine, an OM636 Mercedes, fitted. The Masts and internal modifications were done by Sunbird Yachts of Titchfield. The internal construction was done in Hong Kong maainly to my design, as were the sails. The boat was shipped to Hong Kong on top of a container vessel. A new Yanmar engine was fitted in 2001, as spares for the old Mercedes were nigh on impossible to obtain. I have no osmosis problems of major standing, and the boat has been afloat CONTINUOUSLY since 1979. She sails like a dream in foul or fair weather. I am VERY content with her.
