Sally is a Rival 41C. We are embarking on an anti clockwise circumnavigation of the British Isles May 2014. This is a minimal blog of our location so far and planned future stops and may include the odd photo too.

We bought Rivalady, a 1983 Rival 38, in August 2012 and have been updating her since. We have finally made the decision to rent our house out and are going for a sailing adventure. We depart April/May 2015 - as soon as we've got the copper coat applied! We're crossing Biscay early June as we have 2 crew joining us. Then we're either heading to Lagos for winter, or going to keep sailing across to the Carribean - we just don't know yet.

Southern Rival
A standard draught Rival 34, (Hull No. 11) fitted-out by Southern Boat Building and delivered in September 1972. We bought her in December 2013 and are her eighth owners. At present she is based in Inverness, Scotland, where we are doing some upgrades and family sailing.

Our Rival 38A is based on the Black Sea at the moment, but she's got to get back to the UK later in 2016. The obvious route is through the Med, but could the Baltic, and through Russia be an option?
