ROA West Country meet, Salcombe, September 27th:

We had a lowish turnout this time, with 15 at the dinner at Salcombe Yacht Club and just three Rivals on the visitors’ pontoon. Numbers were boosted at the last minute when R38 Rival Spirit, from the Solent area, arrived just by chance to join R41 Wild Rover and R34 Williwaw. Her owners were pressganged to join the party without difficulty. Also present were R38 Malish and the new and former owners of R34 Tenacity II. As ever, the SYC put on a very good dinner and the conversation flowed freely until the imminent departure of the last water taxi required our presence on the quayside.

Next season's meets will probably be in the Yealm (May) and Fowey (October) - to be confirmed.
