 ROA Autumn  2002 Salcombe Meet

The fortnight's postponement proved to be worthwhile, as we almost doubled the numbers able to attend. At the dinner in Salcombe Yacht Club were 18 souls, representing nine Rivals, and the conversation was as lively as ever. The pontoon gathering was thin, with only three yachts, due to the weather forecast and other problems. Unfortunately, the intrepid trio that sailed in were trapped by a south-easterly gale that came in on the Sunday morning. They all escaped on the following Saturday, which gave an excuse for a second celebratory dinner at a Plymouth restaurant.

During the dinner, we decided on Fowey for our 2003 Spring rally in early May - the precise date to be fixed later.
