USA - Chesapeake August 2000    (See Images section for event photographs)

I am pleased to be able to report that the George and Jill Martin (R41 AEOLIA) have held there first rally in the Magothy River - Chesapeake.  Brian and Ali Wallis (R38 - RESOLUTION OF RHU), with Tania and myself as guests for the week were cruising the Chesapeake at the time were able to join the raft of three boats with AEOLIA and HIDDEN LIGHT (R34 Cindy and Tom Sprehe)  The weather was calm at 16:00 when the BBQ and party got under way, but two hours later all hell let loose when an unforecast and prolonged 45+ knots of wind and rain broke the party up abruptly. With thanks to George and Jill for their hospitality.
