 End of Season Dinner  - November 2005.

The end of season dinner in November held at Itchenor Sailing Club was a fitting end to my term of office. The club looked after us extremely well, the food and service were all that I had hoped for. And better still James Pickford and his wife Sara have volunteered to assist with organising it again in 2006.

There were 37 owners and crew attending the dinner, (three boats sailed to Chichester for the evening) which started with the usual drinks and then adjourned to the presentation room for a very well put together talk by James and Sara on their cruising in Southern Ireland. This addition to the evening will, I hope, encourage other owners to take a few minutes next year to speak about their cruises.

Present at the evening were skippers with their boats in France, Spain, Elba, Ireland and the West Indies, and probably other places I did not hear about, so please take a little time to talk about these experiences next year.

We were also able to “encourage” a new skipper to take over as VP for next year!!

On a final note please put the weekend of the 20/21^stMay 2006 into your diaries for the Folly Meet.
